KCS Public Relations is experienced in the mobilization, execution and management of on-site communications for industrial construction projects.
KCS|PR will develop and manage an interdependent on-site communications department to provide beneficial information across the project site.
A single mega project can have multiple EPCs (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) supported by dozens of subcontractors.
KCS|PR will establish and maintain a centralized communications system, comprised of a dedicated team of communication professionals, who will develop and deliver electronic and printed communications materials regarding project updates and milestones to all site personnel – from leadership to the craft.

Head honcho, queen bee, boss lady – whatever you want to call her, Doreen is the new owner and president of KCS|PR. Acquired in November 2016, Doreen has been serving clients and helping run the agency for 10 out of its 15 years in business. She’s been an active PR professional in the local business community since she graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2003, Go Islanders! In 2014, Doreen made a commitment to her craft and industry by becoming Accredited in Public Relations and earning a certificate in [the art of] Public Participation. She is also a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi, Class XLIV (The BEST Class Ever!) and truly believes she is “blessed beyond measure” as a business owner, wife, and mother. Doreen is a self-proclaimed foodie, loves spending time near the water and traveling with her family. Determined, focused, and resourceful – Veronica started her career with KCS|PR in October 2018. She previously spent the past eight years working at Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas where she acquired a unique mix of experience in human resources, strategic planning, operations, development & volunteer engagement. In 2008 Veronica earned her BA in Communications from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. GO ISLANDERS! In her free time, Veronica loves spending time with her husband and three children exploring the coastal bend.

Team player, learner, goal getter – Kara started with KCS|PR in July of 2017 and dove into the world of PR head-first (she’s a serious Brainiac)! She earned her BBA in Marketing from Schreiner University and an MBA from Houston Baptist University. In school, Kara kept spirits high as a cheer captain, was an active member of the Integrated Marketing Committee and assisted with New Student Orientation programs. Kara returned to the Coastal Bend in 2016 to help launch a family start-up company. Since moving back, Kara is involved with the Young Professionals of the Coastal Bend and is serving her third year on the Board as Treasurer. “And though she be but little, she is fierce,” is one of Kara’s favorite quotes, and it reigns true for her. In her spare time, she binge watches Disney movies, loves eating French fries, and likes to get buried in a new mystery novel. Kara is so glad she found her way to KCS|PR and she’s looking forward to growing her career with the company.

A Peacekeeper and a Believer- Erika started with KCS|PR in May of 2019 as an on-site Communications Assistant with a team of communications professionals focused on internal communications for an industrial client. She is a Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi graduate, class of 2018, with a BA in Communications and a minor in Public Relations. While attending TAMUCC, Erika was very involved in volunteering by spending her time at the Texas State Aquarium mentoring the Aqua Teen Volunteer program and assisted in rehabilitating wild birds with the Second Chances Wildlife Rehabilitation program. Erika also played an important role with prospective students and their families while volunteering at the University, as an Island Ambassador she gave campus tours and hosted Island Days with the program. Erika has worked in various industries like local non-profits, education, and the medical field gaining experience in Marketing, Writing, and Communications. In her free time, she loves to spend time with family and enjoys exploring local dining especially when crawfish season rolls around.
Hands on learner, hugger, dedicated team member and conversationalist-JuLee started with KCS|PR in July of 2021 and hit the ground running! After 20 years in the legal field, she decided to take a leap of faith and changed career paths. She began working in the CCISD Office of Communications and embarked on a new and exciting career. JuLee has since been in the PR\Comm industry for over 14 years and her most recent job was on the new Harbor Bridge Project where she worked in the Public Information office. JuLee loves sports and is married to a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan. Together they have 6 amazing kids and a very spoiled fur baby! JuLee loves the beach, Texas BBQ, taking spontaneous camping trips with her husband in their RV and being a Gammy to their beautiful grandchildren!
